Merchant Configuration
When your company signs up to a payment processing system such as Sycurio, it is registered as a merchant with the system. The administrator will need to provide information about the company’s registration with the payment processing system for use by the Safe-Pay feature.
Add a new Merchant:
- Log in to the administrator account
- Navigate to Payments in the left-hand panel
- Select Merchant Configuration
- Click Add to configure a new Merchant
- Enter a unique Name and a brief description if necessary
- Click Save Changes to add the new Merchant or continue with the next steps
Add Merchant Credentials:
To complete the configuration you need to add the merchant credentials using the information from Sycurio. The credentials are used to authenticate your company’s registration with the payment processing system and permit usage of it.
Note: The responsibility of keeping the data secure lies with the service that is using it. |
- Select the relevant Merchant
- Click Add/replace credentials
- Enter the following merchant credentials:
- Client ID
- Client Secret
- Username
- Password
- Click Save and the credentials will be set
Note: The merchant credentials are stored encrypted in the system and, once written, cannot subsequently be displayed. For this reason, once the credentials have been entered, the Credentials present checkbox on the Merchant Configuration page is ticked. |
Edit or delete merchant settings
Click Payments > Merchant Configuration on the menu bar. A list of the merchant configuration entries that are currently defined is displayed. Select the appropriate merchant configuration entry.
- To edit the details for the merchant configuration, reconfigure the parameters as appropriate, then click Save Changes.
- To delete the merchant configuration, click Delete then confirm that you want to delete the merchant configuration.
- To update the information for the merchant credentials, click Add/replace credentials, enter each field again, then click Save.
- To delete the merchant credentials, click Delete credentials then confirm that you want to delete the merchant credentials.
Additional Information
Although it is unlikely that your company would have more than one registration with the payment processing system, multiple registrations are supported.
Company administrators must have the Safe-Pay Configuration: Modify privilege to manage merchant settings.
