This procedure describes how to reconfigure literal parameters to accept user-configurable values.
Some literal parameters (of types AudioFile, Boolean, Integer or String) can be configured to accept user-configurable values. This means that even though the call-flow creator defines the default values for these parameters, they can be overridden by a company administrator with the Service Numbers:Modify privilege to suit their own requirements. (The parameters are tied to the service numbers associated with them rather than the call flow.)
One parameter type (Queue) can only accept a user-configurable value (is only configurable at the company level). This is because you (the platform owner/administrator) cannot possibly know the specific queues that are used by an individual company. It is therefore the responsibility of the company administrator to define these queues.
Procedure #
Step 1:
To configure the parameters for a node, click the node name in the call flow. The Parameters pane for this node is displayed on the left side.
The symbol next to the parameter name indicates the parameter type (AudioFile, Integer, String, etc.). See Parameter value types.
The symbol below the parameter name indicates the value type that can be assigned to this parameter (Literal/Variable/User-configurable). See Literal, variable and user-configurable values.
Step 2:
Click the value-type symbol and select User-configurable.
The value-type symbol changes to:
Step 3:
Click Edit.
The Edit Parameter dialog for this parameter type is displayed. This differs according to the parameter type (AudioFile/Boolean/Integer/String/Queue). The following shows an example Edit Parameter dialog for an AudioFile parameter type:

Step 4:
Set the parameters as required.
Note: The parameters that you specify here determine the parameters that are displayed to a company administrator when they select a service number that is assigned to this particular call flow.
