Administrators at all system-login levels (platform owner/reseller/company) can add time ranges.
Administrators must have the Time ranges: Modify privilege to manage time ranges.
To create and add a time range:
Procedure #
- Click Staff > Time Ranges on the menu bar. A list of the time ranges that are currently defined is displayed.
- Click Add. The New Time Range page is displayed.
- (Mandatory.) Enter the Name of the time range (up to 100 characters). Any unicode characters are allowed, including whitespace and accented letters. The name must be unique within your organisation.
- Enter a brief Description for the time range (up to 250 characters), such as the department for which calls are put in this time range. Any unicode characters are allowed, including whitespace and accented letters.
- Select the Type of time range. One of:
- Relative – the times included in the time range are relative to the current date. The start and end times are applied to one or more days of the week, which are selected via checkboxes.
- Absolute – the times included in the time range are not relative to the current date. The start and end times each have a date assigned to them, which is entered manually, by using the calendar.
- To define a Relative time range, follow the instructions in Defining rules for a relative time range.
- To define a Absolute time range, follow the instructions in Defining rules for an absolute time range.
- Click Add.
- Note: After adding time ranges, you need to create a call flow in Flow Editor that uses a Branch On Time Ranges node for which you define branches that use the configured time-range rules.
