Company administrators can create a Comma-Separated Value (CSV) text file containing details that define CRM contact records for customers and then upload it to the system via the Contact web interface.
Customer details for CRM contact records can also be imported via a downloadable CSV file template.Note: Each CSV file can contain up to 50 000 rows (CRM contact records).
To import customer details for CRM contact records:

Step 1:
Click Customers > CRM on the menu bar.
A list of the contact records that are currently stored in the CRM is displayed.
Step 2:
Click Import.
The Import Contact List dialog is displayed, which lists the last 50 CSV files that were imported, including any imports that are still in progress.For each CSV file, the following is shown:
Column | Description |
Filename | The name of the CSV file that was imported. |
Start Time | The date and time when the import started. |
User | The name of the user who imported the CSV file. |
Status | One of the following: Validating (progress%) Uploading (progress%) Done Failed. |
Failure Reason | A message stating why the import failed. If the import succeeded, “-” is displayed. |
Step 3:
To import customer details as a CSV file:
a. Click Import.
b. Specify and open the appropriate CSV file.
Step 4:
To import customer details via a downloadable CSV file template:
a. Click Download Import Template.
This provides a sample template of the CSV file that needs to be uploaded.
b. Open the downloaded CSV file template and enter the data for the contact records in the appropriate fields then save the file.
c. Click Import then specify and open the appropriate CSV file to be uploaded.
