Care Connect with EMIS/SystmOne #
Care Connect is a standalone Windows app that third-party systems and Contact can use to facilitate tasks such as calling a patient and seeing who is calling. Care Connect currently integrates with:
- EMIS
- SystmOne
EMIS and SystmOne are platforms that record medical information about patients which is used by GP surgeries. Agents may already be used to using the EMIS Web/SystmOne program to view and contribute to patients’ electronic healthcare records.

Downloading Care Connect #
The latest version of Care Connect can be downloaded below. There are separate versions for EMIS and for SystmOne.
Linking EMIS to Contact #
An administator will need to enter EMIS details into Contact to enable the integration. This is contained within the System section of the Admin Portal, under the menu header Organisation Configuration.
The EMIS Organisation ID (provided by EMIS for the customer) and Country need to be populated:

Giving agents access #
In order for agents to access Care Connect the EMIS bolt-on must have been assigned to them via Horizon. Once the user is saved with a bolt-on, they will automatically be assigned with an agent role in Contact which enables them with the bolt-on.
Once Care Connect has been installed and configured, please carry out the following checks:
- Incoming Call Display: When a patient calls in, does their name appear on the call notification?
- Record Access: When you click the patient’s name, does it open their file in the clinical system?
If either of these steps does not work as expected, please raise a support ticket and we will investigate.
