When configuring queues administrators may be required to upload additional audio such as announcements or queue music.
Where it’s possible to upload audio administrators will see a plus icon.
Upload an audio file or play book #
Audio can be added either as an individual audio file or as a play book comprising several audio files.
- In the menu bar click Call Handling > Queues to see a list of available queues
- Select (or add) the relevant call queue
- Where appropriate click the (+) plus icon next to the relevant announcement or audio
- Select the audio type either:
- Audio file – one announcement or piece of music
- Play book – multiple audio files
Upload an audio file: #
- Enter the Name of the audio file (up to 100 characters)
- The name must be unique within your organisation.
- Enter a brief Description for the audio file (up to 250 characters) if required
- Enable Text-To-Speed or click Upload File
- You can upload audio files as MP3, WAV, MP4 or OGG

- Click Add
- The audio will be created/uploaded

Upload a play book #
- Enter the Name of the audio file (up to 100 characters)
- The name must be unique within your organisation.
- Enter a brief Description for the audio file (up to 250 characters) if required
- Tick Interruptible by telephone keypresses to specify that the playbook may be interrupted by someone pressing a key on their device. Otherwise, leave it unticked.
- Click Add File
- Select the audio file to be played from the dropdown
- You can also specify whether this file can be interrupted by ticking or unticking the Interruptible checkbox
- Listen to the selected file by clicking the play button
- Add more audio files to the playbook in the same way
- To change the order in which audio files are played, use the arrow keys to move files up or down the list
- Click Add
- The play book will be uploaded
