This procedure describes how to validate a routing flow and how to publish the completed routing flow so that it can be assigned to service numbers and used by the system to handle interactions.
If you want to run a routing flow, it must first be validated, published and have service numbers assigned to it. A routing flow is deployed in Java ARchive (JAR) format.
Procedure #
Step 1:
Click the Validate and publish icon:
The validation process generally takes place quickly and as the routing flow is validated, the results are displayed in the Flow Editor’s Validation Result window.
If validation succeeds, the routing flow is converted to a JAR file ready to be published.
If there are errors in your routing flow, validation fails and no conversion to JAR format takes place. For failure cases, descriptions of any errors are displayed in the Validation Result window. You must rectify the source of the error and revalidate the routing flow prior to publishing it. You cannot successfully validate the routing flow until you have addressed all of the errors detected by the Flow Editor.
Step 2:
Click Publish.
The routing flow can then be allocated to specific customers and company administrators can assign their service numbers to it.
Step 3:
When the routing flow has been validated and published successfully, close the Flow Editor.
The routing flow can then be allocated to specific resellers or company administrators can assign their service numbers to it.
Note: A routing flow must be published before it can be assigned to customers.
