The cardholder’s view

When a cardholder (customer) receives the payment link (either by email or by SMS), they perform the following steps:

  1. The cardholder clicks the payment link to open it in their default web browser:
    • If the payment link is not valid or has expired, a corresponding message is displayed. To specify a Link Expiry Time, click: Payments > PSP Configuration > Advanced.
    • If a passcode is required, a page is displayed to enable the cardholder to enter the passcode that they have received via another channel. To specify that a passcode must be entered by the person making the payment, click: Payments > PSP Configuration > Basic.
    • Each payment link permits a specified number of failed access attempts before it is blocked and a corresponding message is displayed. To specify the number of Maximum Access Failures, click: Payments > PSP Configuration > Advanced.
  2. If the payment link is valid, a capture page is displayed to the cardholder containing fields that enable them to enter the information required to process the transaction.
  3. The cardholder enters their card details into the appropriate fields and submits the payment. If the card cannot be accepted, a corresponding error message is displayed.
  4. If the card is accepted, the cardholder is redirected to a Thank You page, which has a visual indicator showing that the payment is being processed.
  5. When processing is complete, the cardholder receives a success message.
